1947 Gale Piston and Power Head

I'm new to restoring outboards and I have a 1947 Gale (aka Montgomery Ward) outboard model 74GG9006 1W4 which had a seized piston. I removed the piston with a press (home made). The piston has very little scaring and the head shows none that I can see. Micrometer suggests both are round within .002 at several points. The rings (two) on the piston do not show any obvious deformity. Neither have rounded over edges, cracks or burn marks. I imagine finding replacement rings will be difficult.

I'm not sure why this motor seized and would welcome guesses. I do not have the equipment to machine the head & piston so I'm looking for suggestions as to where I might find these services.

Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks!
