First post! I have been lurking and like what I see here, thank you everyone for your help
When I turn the battery on the IAC on the throttle body makes a buzzing sound for a second then stops. This is with the key out of the ignition so technically the engine should not be getting power right?
If im not mistaken the ECU controls the IAC so this tells me that the ECU is powering up with just the battery cutoff turned on.
Any ideas as to why?
Could there be a relay stuck closed or something like that? I looked at the Volvo Penta book and I couldn't locate a relay that controls the Engine Electricity,
When I turn the the ign key to the first detent I get the fuel pump to turn on and prime as it should and then next detent it start fine.
I dont want the Engine to be powered while we are just floating listening to the radio.
Appreciate any input you could give.
