Ignition coil wire came out of boot. The rubber around wire had a 3cm cut. I forced it back into the spark plug boot. The engine appears to be misfiring.

do I need to replace the ignition coil wire and the boot. Please help.
 
Check that the end of the wire that goes into the boot has the spring that the spark plug end fits into. This spring has a vampire connection to the wire and may have separated when the wire came out of the boot. https://youtu.be/8chc6cv2-_E
