Yamaha v6 200 2 cycle oil

hello question the tank for 2cycle oil on engine side is draining back to the boat tank? is there a check valve in line ? i took the tank pump apart cleaned it, cleaned tank, check small filter not plugged?

has anyone had to figure this out is the oil system suppose to be airtight???
