1985 50hp wma3 carb main jet change... 057..to .098 economizer ???

anyone do this.. so the parts list hear shows the original jet 1399-1457 at .057 as nla

a replacement part of 1395-7355 at .098 and its called economizer

so its a good 40% larger.. and why economizer?? would that not be more fuel??

I am having troubles keeping the idle... so willing to give anything a shot at this point...

gonna check for leaks and fuel delivery and redo the fuel pumps though they all looked good..

That supposedly monitors the amount of air going into the fuel bowl. I've left them out and saw no difference in performance.

See if the idle improves after disconnecting the fuel tank. If so, the carb may be slow flooding.

Jeff, thanks for the input.. What is slow flooding??

I see fuel accumulating on the outside of the carb bowl after running it..looks like it drips out from the carb throat... that what you talking about?

been that way as long as i owned the thing...
