Just got myself an inflatable Seahawk 3 to putter around in our bay. I had given to me an old Minn Kota 30 lb motor. It works but I want recommendations on a battery; preferably light.. but then how do I figure out how long the battery will last me if I got on the bay for a day of trolling? I've got an old car battery (my volt meter measured it at 12.66 v) that I can use, but should I be getting a deep cycle battery? If I just gor out for 3-4 hours, will the car battery suffice?
