Well I did it.. I mean a broken bolt.. Everything was going good with heat (propane only to no melt aluminum) the 4th one was moving along with the head 3/8in above the plastic housing when it broke.. If I can get the lower adapter plate off I can get vice grips on the bolt but I can't get the plate off.. thanks in advance for some help.

EDIT: There is a slight 1/16" edge of the plate hanging over the aluminum case.. I put a fulcrum on the case and put up pressure on with a lever and had to stop in fear of breaking the case. I know from experience the cast case material is brittle.. Maybe heat on that plate too? I'm going to wait here I already had one disaster but in my defense as soon as I realized how frozen the bolts were I stopped and went to youtube and the forums and heat was the answer.. The best answer is to take your Yamaha apart and grease all the bolts with Marine Never Seize when they are new..
