Hi all, I have a 1993 T9.9 4 stroke that I picked up for cheap that had sat for a long time. Opened the carb up and gas had turned to varnish. Cleaned up the carb and put a new kit on it and replaced a couple of jets.
When starting it up, it is a little tough to start, but runs. When it runs, it will surge really hard and basically go full throttle without me giving it gas the. It will die.
i thought I might have messed up screw settings, but just not sure. There is a small screw on top with a rubber ring around it that I tightened down and turned 1-1/2 turns out. I also turned the throttle screw in all the way because it wouldn’t idle.
Im reaching here and need some guidance.
