Nissan NS50D2 not firing on #2 cylinder

Recently purchased a 2000 Nissan NS50D2. I've replaced carbs and Coils.
I'm getting intermittent fire on the #2 cylinder (mostly no fire). I've traded the coil from a firing cylinder and still nothing so I feel like I've eliminated it being a coil pack. What is next? Should I go right with a Stator?
Trying not to throw parts at it.
Thanks for any help.
 
First, get a Factory service manual. Next, the motor does not have a stator. But it does have 3 pulser coils. One may be marginal.
