Picked up a 1997 T9.9 ELHV knowing it did not run. Trying to resurrect it from the dead. It "looks" nice and clean and well cared for, but no spark at all. Checked the neutral, stop and safety switches and all work. When I spin the motor with a rope (Spark plugs out) do not get any voltage out of the coil. Likewise, don't get any voltage going to the coil from the CDI unit. Checked voltage coming from the stater on both the blue and brown wires and got nothing when I spun the motor. Pulled off the flywheel and it is clean and not rusty and magnetic. The stater "looks" good with no obvious burn marks, etc. And I am getting 100% continuity between the blue and brown wires off the stater. Is the stater bad or do I need to do additional tests? Thanks
