1982 mercury 70hp 3 cylinder carb float height adjustment

Thanks for the reply Been out of town for a while.

Is this the right way to measure it.

Carb upside down
Measure form carb where the float bowl mounts to top of the float. ??

The problem I am having after replacing float Valve seat kit is when you run for a while wide open the engine loads up and slows down.

If I take it out of gear and rev the motor it will clear up and run good for a few min and load up again.??
