Good morning. I am brand new to boat ownership and on day 1 I quickly realized that I've made every mistake possible when buying a used boat! It's been super painful, but after a few conversations with marine mechanics and a few threads I have learned about the paint chip problem in the fuel pump assembly. I went to the parts store and ordered a new pump for 1700 BUCKS!!! my question is: is the new pump going to have the same paint problem? should i do something before installing the pump? Thanks for your help fellas, it sucks being new
