OK so I was running down the water and hit something. The motor popped up and was running wot,so I shifted to N and the motor shut off. I went to restart and it wouldn't. So I started in high idle and it wasnt that high. I pulled the cover off and then restarted and it started fine and did everything perfectly. When I put the cover back on it chocked the motor out. Has anyone experience this before. What do I check first. Not sure what to do.
