I removed the original lower unit to replace some parts in it. It came off very easy. I was trying for hours to get the lower unit back up and could not get it back on. Finally I looked up the drive shaft and saw a small circle washer/gasket or something blocking the splines in the power head. Does anyone know what to do here? Do I need to just line this piece up perfectly and get the lower unit on?
