Yamaha 50 hp 2 stroke started and runs but wouldn’t accelerate

I have a 2010 Yamaha 50 hp 2 stroke running fine prior to winter storage. It was properly winterize Like I always do every year. This spring the motor started fine without any trouble. Got to the lake motor runs but wouldn’t accelerate in pressure water. Got home puts on the ear muffs Runs fine without water pressure. Any ideas or thoughts. Please help!
 
Full disclosure....I live in FL so I have zero experience with winterizing and its associated processes. Engine performance when under load vs. when on muff have very little in common, aside from the spark and cooling systems being operational. When's the last time you pulled carbs and jets for cleaning?
 
ClassicAQ, thank you for your review of my frustration. Carburetors was cleaned (but not rebuild) two years ago. I didn't think of that because I only took the boat out once last summer. Iwill look into that. Thanks.
