70 hp Yamaha leaking oil from speedometer hole

Started out my speedometer did not work. I googled and was told to take a 1/16 drill bit and turn by hand until clear. The clog was very hard so I had to use force on the vise grips I was holding the drill bit with. After getting about an 1-1/2” in, it cleared. However, when I pulled the drill bit out, it started pouring out oil. I suspect I punctured a hole on the other side of the tubing. Any ideas on how to fix? Could I possibly seal the hole with silicone to prevent leakage without causing further damage?

Well you drilled thru the unit..:(. Drain the unit and remove it. Flush speedo passage with carb cleaner and blow out. Mix a whole 2 ounce package of JB weld thinned with 1 tablespoon of acetone and dribble in the top of speedo passage till it comes out front of nose, apply tape to seal nose and let hardness 12 hrs or more.

Thanks Faztbullet!! To clarify.... once JB Weld comes out speedo hole do I cover and continue filling using all the JB Weld? Thanks Again!!
