Hello to you all

I don't have any warning horns and I'd like some help on how to test all components of the system
These are the facts
1. When I crank the engine with kill switch out, no alarm sounds. The 703 box is fairly new mk2 version. I have the mk1 in the shed and that has a warning horn I could use for testing
2. The warning light located at the front of the engine does not illuminate
3. The oil pressure switch seems to be the original one
4. The thermosensor is not a yamaha one, but a merc mariner sensor. It has two pink and black striped wires from it k bullet connected) one is grounded to block, other goes into cdi
So how can I accurately test the horn in the 703 and the thermosensor? Google says connect the pink and black wires from the harness and the alarm should sound. But both wires are both pink and black lol
Can provide pictures if needs be. Thanks. James
