1981 Mariner 115 hp- how troubleshoot stator?

Got a 1981 Mariner 115hp that misfires when I give throttle.
Runs ok at idle and got ignition on all 6 spark plugs when I crank her.

Suspecting a bad stator. Can someone please give me some guidelines which resistance I should have on my stator and which wires on the stator that I should test for resistance?

If you have any other idea on what can cause this problem feel free to comment :)

Suprisingly it wasn’t the rectifier. It run great when I disconnected the old rectifier. But now when i took her for a test run after I mounted a brand new rectifier I had the same problem-misfiring when i give throttle.

I saw that the 2 wires (that goes to the rectifier) coming down from the stator was quite worn and the plastic had started to crack and loosen. Could bad wires between the stator and rectifier cause the same problem?
