Trim Tilt Water Intrusion and Leaking Fluid - Please help

Hi Pros,
Thank you in advance for your help. Here is the situation.
Motor: 2013 Honda BF50D EFI
Problem: I see a sheen on the water when I use my tilt/trim and eventually it runs low on fluid and needs to be refilled or it doesn't move - especially in the up direction. I've filled it 2 times now and it lasts about a week. I do see milky stuff come out of the fluid fill when changing it.
Questions:
1. How do I isolate the leak? I think it's either the fill screw o-ring (doubt it), the o-ring on the manual release, or God-forbid (but most likely) the oil seal on the ram (part #64 or #47) here... https://www.boats.net/catalog/honda...-bbej-1100001-to-bbej-1199999/power-trim-tilt

2. If it is #64 or 47, how the heck do you get that off, From what I can tell, the end of the ram is shaped like a "T" and it's welded (that's where the pin goes through) looks like this and the T is welded on. https://www.ebay.com/p/804389600?ii...PUD5DaYD3yEU6XRVBKcW1Vl_E5KrjLphoCq-4QAvD_BwE

How do you get that seal on/off? (From the bottom)?

Thank you in advance,

The bad news is the main tilt ram seal is not replaceable, the whole assembly should be replaced. To remove, the whole trim unit needs to be taken off, that means engine off the boat. To confirm where the leak is, remove the boat from the water, let it all let it all dry them trim up and down until you locate the leak

Wait what? Why do they bother selling the parts? Parts 47 and 63 are available for purchase and in stock...

That can't be right.

I'm referring to the actual ram, not the complete unit, they do not sell the cap and seal separately. The ram can be dismantled once removed and I'm sure a good hydraulic repair shop could match up seals provided the shaft is in good condition which they usually aren't

Gotcha, can you tell me what the assembly that needs to be replaced is? I'm not sure I follow.

update:
it’s not leaking from the seal at the ram. It’s leaking from where the reservoir tank and the main assembly body meet. What do y’all think

Mine was leaking in that area. It turned out to be a missing o-ring between the motor and the tilt-trim body. I'm installing the o-ring with a little RTV around it.

You will have to replace the O ring part number 91351-ZW4-H11 which sits in the plastic housing. The eye at the top of the ram screws off and then the housing can be removed after removing the for retaining bolts.

awesome. Thank you. Quick question. Can I change this while the assembly is on the boat? I see where the top of the ram unscrews from the tube at the top where the pin goes through.
Will I do any damage if I begin unscrewing the piston while everything else is still in place?
thanks!
