I hooked my speed gauge to my Garmin 840xs last week to get more accurate speed readings on my gauge. I disconnected the pitot tube. Now my gauge read 50-60 mph at all times. My clock and other functions seem fine except speed and distance traveled. I didn't see any settings for the dip switches for gauge calibration. I'm stumped....bad gauge?
Garmin displays the correct speed....Port set the NMEA 0183 Standard, NMEA 0183 "Output Sentence" is set to "GPRMC" on...all others sentences are turned off. "Position Precision" - I set that to "three digits"
