Possible power pack or coil?

My Johnson 40hp was running flawless. Then out of no where seemed to be running on only one cylinder. Low rpm at full throttle. When you push the choke button it revs slightly but nothing like it should. I’m thinking either power pack or a coil. Is there a way to have either tested before replacing? 1988 Johnson 40hp. All fuel issues have been fixed. And I only run non ethanol gas.
 
Haven’t looked at it yet. In the past I’ve seen power packs go out and know how it runs on 1 cylinder. It hits intermittent but will check coils and spark. Not sure if the power pack can be tested since it’s almost $100
