Hi there, new to the forum but hoping to get some solid answers before I dig into it. We recently started using my father in laws pontoon with a 60horse tracker on it. It runs great at idle and half to three quarters throttle. But when wide open it seems to loose fuel And fluctuate up and down. If I prime the bulb it will start to run great again For a few minutes . I’m thinking it has a air leak at the quick disconnect or one of the fuel line connections.. do I need to check the diaphragm in the pump? It seems to run to good to be that but I’m an auto mechanic and do not have a whole lot of experience with outboards. Any advice is helpful as I don’t want to throw parts at it. He said he’s already replaced the bulb with a non oe and rebuilt the pump a year ago.. thanks in advance.
