Possible trim pump issue

Is it normal for the trim pump to keep running after the drive is all the way down? It stops after letting off the switch but if I push the switch it will run. Seems like there should be a limit switch or something.

Totally normal no stop for the pump. Will do the same thing going up as well.only limit switch is for the trim To limit how much you can raise it at speed before using the trailer button (older units) or the second detent (push in farther on same switch)on newer ones
