Hi everyone,
I'm new to the forum and new to Suzuki's too. I recently purchased a project 2017 DF115A with a bad cylinder. I completely rebuilt the power head which has great compression now but I can't get it to crank over with the key switch. The starter cranks with lots of energy when I jump the solenoid using the tip of a screwdriver. I have checked every fuse and relay and completely traced all of the wire connections with an ohm meter and cannot find a problem. The only thing I cannot check is the ECM. There are four wires feeding in/out of it on the starting circuit diagram. Could a bad ECM prevent the system from cranking over? The cost of these things are in the $1,300 range so I'm reluctant to purchase one until I'm very confident it is bad. I have attached a picture of starting circuit for reference. Any technical support on this subject is greatly appreciated.
Thanks from MN,
MN-DF115A
