1984 Mercury 50hp jet screw

Hi all opinion, think I messed up
rebuilt the carbs but when tuning them out in water I noticed the jet screw missing on top, can’t for life of me find any where, must of loosened it thinking it was idle adjustment...probably went down carbs mouth??
 
If so, you would know it by now! (Ka-pow.) Most likely it's raising the water level where you boat.
