Volvo Penta SX Cobra throttle control help

I’m a very new boat owner. I have a 1999 24’ Larson bow rider with a 5.0 mercruiser, and a Volvo penta sx-m outdrive.

my throttle control box was sticking last season, so I removed it and threw it away. I’m now having an issue finding a throttle assembly with the correct throw that will shift, and accelerate my setup.

I bought a new throttle assembly, but the shift travel is more on the throttle handle, than the outdrive.

The shift cables I removed previously are seastar ccx63317 (I believe the same as 3300 series)

My question is what throttle assembly do I need to purchase to make this work?

Any help is appreciated.
Thank you

1) NEVER throw old parts away until you a SURE you have solved the problem.
2) Most throttle assemblies have a choice of holes on the arms that the cables attach to in order to allow different throws at the engine.
3) There is a possibility that your original problem was just in the cable itself instead of the shifter.
