I store my 1979 Skipjack 24 flybridge on its trailer in my home's side yard. I put two new batteries in it last season and used it twice. It has been sitting un started for six months (my very bad). I left the battery switch on (my very bad again) and trird to start start it and of course the batteries were not charged enough (11V on the dashboard volt meter) to get it to turn over. So I charged the batteries after making sure plates inside the battery were adequately covered with battery acid. I have two sets of volt meters. One is in the cabin that shows each battery individually (14 V on both batteries). Jump starting doesn't work and the throttle is in neutral.

Did you properly winterize it?
Winterize??? I live in southern California near, yes, Huntington Beach
So I'm not sure what you mean by winterize. What are you referring to. She's kept under a canvas cover on the trailer on the side of my house.

A bad winterize can cause a cracked block or a hydro-lock condition
locate the slave solenoid and jump it or jump the starters battery post to the Yellow/Red wire the small lug closest to the block R3 in the pic
