Just started my engine (MCM MAG MPI 5.7 300 HP) after winter storage and get the Engine Data Bus Error on the smart craft. The engine will rum perfectly for 10 to 30 seconds, start to stall, will run for another 10 seconds then stall. the code is for a faulty data link between tach. However the tach records the correct rpm during the 10 to 30 seconds while the engine is running. Engine ran fine in the fall when winterizing but did replace the plugs, wires, and distributor after winterizing. Rechecked all connections and everything seams fine. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
