I've been working on this problem for a while. Have replaced the battery and starter solenoid and taken apart and cleaned the starter. Where I'm at now is that the motor will push start sometimes no problem. And then sometimes it will do nothing, no click, etc. The funny thing is that if I pull the pull cord backup slowly (not to try to start the engine, just to turn things) then often the engine starts right up on the next push.
Does that sound like any particular common problem?
