Hi
I have a 90hp Yamaha outboard motor that starts beautifully and overall runs beautifully, however let’s say I accelerate up to and want hold 3000rpm without anymore movement of the accelerator lever the boat starts accelerating upwards or the revs keep climbing I should say untill I back the throttle of, however when I do back the throttle off the slightest backwards motion on the lever cause a large drop in the revs. Now the boat seems to be fine at say 8knots it will maintain power revs without climbing, it will also maintain high revs say 4500-5000 revs without climbing but the middle range of revs is unpredictable it’s so annoying. Iv tried tightening the grub screw on the lever handle to stiffen the accelerator lever but that didn’t work. Appreciate any help guys thanks in advance
