I have a 40hp, 4 cylinder Mercury with serial #0G048116. Anyone know how to determine what year it was made? My Clymer advises that serial numbers from 1994-1/2 begin with 0GO44027, but I can find no parts listings with that serial number OR my serial #.

I have a 1994 40hp 2 stroke mercury the serial number tag is damaged a little. Looks like it’s 0G049046, but can’t find it on any mercury parts website. Any idea?
