Ayuh,..... Which ever pitch allows the motor to spin up to 'bout 4700/ 4800 rpms at Wot, loaded lightly, 'n trimmed out,.....

Thanks was just curious if someone had opinions on witch pitch is best for that motor I know every boat is different thanks

it all depends on the shape of the hull and the weight of the boat.... my little boat uses a 23pitch behind the 3.0lx....

but as bondo said, when the boat is loaded to its normal capacity, the engine should be able to make 4700 to 4800 rpm... im a proponent of the engine being able to make its full rated rpm, where as the specs call for 4400 up to 4800.... because as long as the engine can make its full rpm, it will never be "lugging" or laboring to run anywhere within its cruise speed, even with a little bit of extra load in the boat.
