Fuel:Gas Ratio for US Marine for 15HP

Northeast Bass

I haven’t really been able to identify the motor year. I found one website that said it was an 1985 based on the model number, but haven’t seen it on another website. From this I haven’t found the fuel ratio needed for this motor. Can anyone help me with this?

1986 Made under the Force brand.
Great little motors, just keep the sand out of the cooling system.
Pretty excited, fixed the spring, changed the spark plugs and the motor fired up. Was pretty Smokey, I ran non ethanol 91 and mixed it 50:1. Put some sea foam. Probably needs to have a carb rebuilt I would think and clean out the jets... I looked on boats.net for a carb rebuild kit but I haven’t been able to track down the right model number on there. Do you know what kit I should be looking for?

ALWAYS INCLUDE THE YEAR/MODEL/SERIAL#

Usually just a good cleaning works.
UNLESS!!!!! there's a lot of CRUD built up in the float bowl.
The bowl, the fuel settles in it and congeals and can cause problems.
If the bowls nasty??? then it's a good chance the air/fuel passages are nasty too :(

Stay away from 91 and Seafoam.
91 burns too hot and it's like adding soap if you put in SF.
SF is WAY over rated.

Want a good cleaner, Mercury, OMC and Yam all have carbon removers.
Mer-is Power tune, OMC Engine tuner Yam (not sure of the name).
Get it and follow directions.

Outboards and excessive smoke.
Every time the motor turns over and doesn't start/run.
The motor draws fuel/oil in and if it doesn't burn?? then the gas evaporates and the oil just builds and builds.
Then when(???/if) it starts a cloud of smoke and instant mosquito fog. :)
Getting it up to temp will burn off the excess oil.
