OBD on a 2014 350 Mag

Is there a specific OBD reader for the Mercruiser 350Mag or will any modern OBD reader work. My OBD light came on this week and it has been taking longer to fire than usual, probably 5-10 seconds.

The RINDA tools are the best stand alone scanners....their DIACOM software, with the correct adapters, will turn your laptop into one...
 
If your engine has a check engine light then you have an EC engine.... There is a port to read J1939 codes for emissions, All it will do is give you numbers.... You will need to look up what the codes mean... The port on the engine will be orange.
