Pulses or cycles on a Mariner 60hp 3cyl. year 1996

Hi
I have to replace my rpm gauge and don't know how many pulses or cycles i need to adjust my new rpm gauge to, on the old one it is not posible to read the adjustings. my engine is a 1996 Mariner 60 Hp ELD 3cyl. 2 stroke. outboard made in Belgium serial no. 099013xx.
pls can anyone help with that infomation
 
I think it's 6 pulses (for 12 poles) for an alternator driven model, the information will be on the tach or the documentation provided. This site has some good ones.
 
Thx for info. i will reply later when new gauge is installed. # Any idea where to buy the maint/ service booklet to my engine, i live in Denmark and the site from USA will not sent to Denmark ?
 
So here is the update. RPM gauge replaced and set to 6P and it turned out with 100% success :) thx for that. about the other question i have, were to get the maint/service manual ?? anybody have a tip.
