Good Evening,
I recently bought a 97 225 EFI after it sat for 4 years. I cleaned my injectors this weekend and once all put back together it starts up just fine and at high rpm runs without issue. The injectors were pretty dirty and had large amounts gunk around the butterfly valves. Once cleaned the idle was at 1100 rpm so I adjusted that back down. But I noticed a cough when i just engage the controls into forward. It won’t when I’m neutral or at Higher rpm. Any thoughts on what’s happening? Could it be related to cleaning the injectors?
