06 Mercury Optimax 90HP starts then after a minute cuts off.

My Step Dad just purchase an 06 Nitro 750 with a 06 Mercury Optimax 90HP. When we went and looked at the boat the motor cranked perfectly. We have carried it to the lake 3 times and it started and performed perfectly. He went to the lake yesterday the motor started perfect went to his first spot, fished and was going to move and the motor started and died after a min. The motor continues to do this starts right up and the dies around a minute later.
Does anyone have any suggestions where to start.

First test, Put a fuel pressure gauge on the rail and see what it is when the engine stalls. You can get a gauge at your local Harbor freight ot auto parts store. Report back with the numbers....
