Volve D6 computer needs reprogrammed

I have a 5260 Regal with 2 Volvo D6 engines with IPS drives. Starboard. The starboard gauge in the helm reads Lost Connection. Engine not turnover. Volvo dealer said the computer needs reprogrammed. The battery's were turned off during the winter. Port motor starts and runs great. What could case this computer problem ?
