95 4.3lx electric choke conversion question

Where should I pull the 12v for the electric choke pull off from? I know it has to be switched, just dont have a diagram... It currently has the thermo coil pull off on the manifold and it is broke. THANKS FOR ANY SUGGESTIONS....
 
Keep in mind that as soon as the ignition switch is ON (engine started or not), the heating element begins to warm the helix (thermostatic bi-metal spring) and opens the choke chimney.
 
Just a suggestion:
You can also power the heating element by using a N/O Low Oil Pressure switch, and by connecting the N/O LOP sw to a 12 v power source.
The element will only receive power once the engine is up and running.
 
Because you have an electronic ignition, TBV, The voltage to the coil is Battery voltage.
The resistor is internal to the coil.....................

If you look and or back trace coil wire + (purple) You may find it connects at a junction and possibly a spare purple wire terminated (not used) in the harness.
