question about my power trim

i have a power trim an there is only the middle cylinder that goes up an down is it normal that the 2 beside are not moving86822033_10163003998930029_5468840763473264640_o.jpg
 
Is this a new unit out of a box ?-----Or did it fail on the motor ??---Can you push those rams in ?----Tell the whole story here.
 
i have 3 (used) mercury power trim not install on motors , an all of them work like this . the middel cylinder is working ok up an down but the 2 each side are out an they dont go in even if i push on them. there only going down when im taking of the plastic bolt on the side to bleed the system. after that they go up before the midddle one but they dont go back in on the way back .
 
When the Tilt(center ram) is powered down the weight of the engine along with the center ram collapse the shorter trim rams.

There is probably nothing wrong with your trim unit mechanically.

Power up the unit in the down position, when the tilt ram bottoms apply pressure to the trim rams and you can push them in.
