2001 Yamaha 8 hp 4 stroke mounting bracket broken

Hello all.
first time poster. I have broken the mounting bracket on a Yamaha 8 hp outboard. Is it complicated to replace the bracket? I am hearing horror stories about it costing as much as a new motor to fix. Any suggestions? Also would that part be common between other models? Thanks for any replies!
 
Insurance ??------How did this happen ?------Likely find the parts on E-bay.---Likely not a big job.------But if you have to pay for this work you might want to look for other options.

Thanks for the suggestion of other options. I have to pay for this. The fix it turns out requires disassembly of main parts of the motor which is beyond my scope. Maybe look at upgrading motor.
