My 150 Honda has developed a problem. Starts and runs fine mid range rpm. Throttle up to over 4k and it will run awhile then alarm goes off and engine goes into limp mode. Restart immediately and it will run fine under 4k. Throttle up and it happens again. I have changed thermostats, impeller, flushed motor several times. Flow is good all throughout engine. Strong stream. Changed oil and filter. After this work it ran 15 miles at 5k rpm then started shutting down again. I got back running at 3k. Checked everything again and it still doesn't want to run long over 4k. When alarm goes off no lights on switch board illuminate. They do check fine with key on before startup. There is no service center locally so not easy to get scanner on it. I read a brief note about the water fuel sensor being tied into the overheat alarm. Could this be true? My water sensor has a broken wire. Seems like a very odd idea. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
