Thermostat housing gasket leaking on gm350 mpi engine

Got this new engine installed and thought maybe they spilled some antifreeze filling it up. Well it looks like it's seeping a bit where one of the two bolts hold it on to the engine. Looks like the gasket tore or got damaged somehow. Does that mean it's leaking coolant into the intake manifold and into the engine? Looks like it's just a $2 gasket. I think it leaks a tad when the engine is off. I'm talking about a drop the size of the bolt head that holds it on, so it's not much at all.

Remove the housing and using a pane of glass and some #4oo grit , hone the surface
glue sandpaper to a wood block and hone manifold
replace gasket and tighten

Cool. Time to go boatin'! I can fix this later.

Have you tried tightening the two bolts up a bit? (warm engine up first)

And by the way, since this engine is fitted with a Closed Cooling System, it is highly unlikely that your cross-over passage would have any rust issues.
