Can the metal hub on a 1985 8hp prop spin out?

Right on, Gator. Mark it for sure, great way to tell. I put mine in a jig I have set up. You can't replace the hubs without expensive equipment. I repair props but since hub failure is way more uncommon when compared to blade damage, I farm that part out. The best opportunity is in skeg and gear case repair. That is "money for nuthin' and cracks for free"......might make a good song.
