Hi we had problems with fuel and starting. The bulb did not seem to go or stay very hard. The engine stuttered at higher revs.
We fitted a new fuel pump and looked at the high pressure fuel pump. The fuel pump metal gauze filter was blocked about 50 percent .
After this the engine started better today and we ran about 16 miles in total with full rpm and happy days.
However when stopped to drift for a few minutes we found we needed to prime the bulb before it started after the drifts We have brand new odyssey pc2150 so loads of cca .
we have changed the fuel lead and bulb in the past. What else should we check and what would make the bulb seem to go soft when we stop so sufficiently that we need to pump to achieve reliable restart?
we have cleared all the faults on the diagnostics and no fault recorded after the trip so electrically at least the higher pressure fuel pump is working.
any suggestions please
thanks Gary
