Hi guys,
Last year I bought a used nice little Fletcher with a Johnson outboard engine, both in a really good condition.
There is no engine tag plate left, so I only have the serial number and some pictures to find out which engine I exactly got.
Regarding the previous owner, the outboard was from 1994, but I want to make sure which engine I have because I want to rebuild the carburetors before the new boat season starts. (before putting the boat on „winter holidays“ I had some trouble with the engine, stalling in idle)
I might also need some other parts some day, so knowing exactly which engine I got would be really helpful.
It is a Johnson 70 VRO (VRO disabled) and should be from 1994. Serial number is G3023767.
My assumption is, it might be a J70ELER, but I‘m not sure.
There is also a C and H variant of that engine existing, whatever that means . . .
I hope you can see the pictures I have posted. I‘m new in this forum and quite inexperienced here
If someone can help I would be really grateful.
Greetings from central Europe
