Hi!

I am restoring an (very) old M35A Tohatsu and have a question about this engine. It has a connector located at the side of the engine, is there anyone who can tell me what this is for? Seems to be comming from the stator.

Thanx!

That is for 12v lighting. If the motor has an optional rectifier, it is 12v DC for puny charging. It was called a consent plug, and was only optional... and only on serial numbers below 60480.

Well, thank you very much for the quick reply! I guess I will have to go searching for a rectifier then so that I can charge my battery with this output.

Its output is puny. Maybe 20 watts. At WOT. The Factory rectifier is NLA. Any bridge rectifier would work.
