Need help identifying year of Johnson outboard 90hp

I cannot seem to find the correct year for my Johnson Evinrude 90 hp seahorse I think it’s a sea horse according to original decals. Core plug only has one row of numbers ( G3272030) I want to replace power head with a 87 Crossflow 90hp it’s a v4 and I would hate to buy this power head and. Seahorse is just the generic name used.-----The motor in the picture is a 92 / 93 model based on the decals.-----Compression test must be done before any major surgery work.
