NSF15C pressure behind dipstick

Hello,

I recently purchased a used 09 NSF15C. The motor had been sitting for approximately 2 years. Upon initial testing, the motor started fist pull and ran at idle for about 2 minutes until I noticed oil dripping from air intake. After further inspection, I noticed that the oil level was maxed out (top of the reservoir at the dipstick). I changed the oil and texted for 2 min at idle. After shutting the motor off, I pulled the dipstick and noticed a significant amount of air pressure had built up behind the dipstick. I am not getting any oil pressure indicator lights while the motor is running. Any expertise in this matter is greatly appreciated.

Best Regards,

Anthony

These crankcases do have some pressure, but the vent hose usually handles that. That can cause some oil to drip from the air box, especially if the crankcase is over full.
Make sure you run regular 10w-30 mineral based oil. no heavier, and not synthetic. Fill it to about 1/2 on the dipstick.

See if that helps.
