I recently purchased a used boat with a Yamaha F250 four stroke. The water pressure at idle looks very low at the tattle tail, and on the digital gauge.
The previous owner stated that the water pump impeller was changed last year, and showed me a receipt stating the same. I asked my dealer about this issue, and he said that this is normal for these motors. Without disassembling the lower unit, I can't confirm the condition of the impeller. Has anyone tried running a smaller diameter tell tail fitting to make this look normal. Just wondering if anyone else has dealt with this same issue.
